Hero of the Week
We were so honored to have Griswold Home Care caregiver Sandy S. recognized today as Senior Care Hero of the Week by Mike Hartmann of Assisted Living Locators, Pam Palanza of Carefinderz, and Sue Fryt of Cranfill Sumner LLP.
While Sandy was recognized for exceptional work as a caregiver, she also holds a special place in our hearts. When we opened Griswold Home Care in Wilmington 9 years ago, her husband was our very first client. Needless to say, it was a special honor for Sandy to be the very first in our community to entrust us with the care of her loved one.
Sandy applied to work for us as a caregiver in 2019 to provide the same help to other families that her family had received. And, like so many other caregivers who have had the need for care touch their personal lives, Sandy has truly delivered with heart. We appreciate Sandy’s ability to form close genuine connections with her clients; her ability to always have such a positive and pleasant attitude; her close attention to changes in the conditions of her clients; her excellent communication with our team, her clients and their families; her reliability; and the way she goes above and beyond like making a home-baked birthday cake for a client.
Thank you, Sandy, for the privilege of caring for your husband all those years ago, and for your part in helping us continue to care for families in our community today. We couldn’t do it without caregivers like you.
