Arthur & Frieda Moseley
Owners/Directors
We have said it before and we'll say it again...owning and managing our Hillsborough and Pasco offices is a God thing. We are not here by mistake.
We both grew up interacting with our extended family, spending lots of time with grandparents, and great-grandparents over the years. We have personally assisted family members that lived well into their 80's and 90's, experiencing many of the challenges most of our clients incur as they and their loved ones age. This has prepared us well when it comes to empathizing with our clients and helping them plan for the encounters ahead of them.
In addition to empathy, combined we bring a unique skill set to the table. On the career side, Frieda started as a Registered Nurse in a local hospital and spent over 30 years managing Med Surg and Rehab floors in three different hospitals in Virginia and Tampa. Throughout this time, her passion was always the direct care side of the business.
Arthur was a banker with one of the predecessors to Bank of America. Over the years, he managed different teams and divisions at the bank, some local, some national. The common threads all involved networking to leverage the resources of the bank, problem-solving, and finance. When Arthur took early retirement from the bank and Frieda was looking for something a little less strenuous than being on the hospital floor for 12-14 hours at a time, they settled on Home Care as the next leg in their journey. Frieda oversees the client and caregiver sides of the business, the heart, and soul of Griswold Tampa and Pasco, while Arthur is responsible for the financial and marketing aspects. Same old skills, new clients, new industries, new challenges!
Over the last 16 years, we have been associated with over 400 different caregivers who have served over 1300 clients, providing over 2.5 million hours of service. The thing we cherish the most is the relationships we have built over the years. From our staff to the caregivers who have joined our pool, to our referral sources and networking associates, to the clients we all serve, we have been blessed to know some truly remarkable people. Being on call 24/7 can be a bit stressful from time to time, but seeing the difference the team makes in the lives of our clients and knowing we have played a part, makes it all worthwhile.
P.S. One of the other blessings to being the owners, is we have been able to work with two of our three children. Using the skills you've developed over the years, doing something you love, and being able to share the time with your family... doesn't get much better than that. PSS and now two of our grandchildren join us three days a week. Even better!
Susan McWhirter

Susan originally joined us as our Associate Director prior to covid, overseeing all of our operations. She recently built a new home in Floral City and started working remotely in March. At that time, she took on the role of Care Pairing Specialist backing up our new Associate Director in all aspects of the business with a focus on referral coordination and caregiver recruitment.

When asked about her "Why", she responded
"I do this because it makes me feel good to know we are impacting the lives of our wonderful clients and the lovely caregivers we refer. I have a deep love and respect for the elderly and I want to soak up their knowledge, wisdom and strength while helping to enrich their lives. Our amazing team is so dedicated that it inspires me and at the end of the day, it’s all about making a difference and I feel we do that here at Griswold Care Pairing"

Casey Moseley Hokes
Office Coordinator
Meet Casey, the Tampa Office Coordinator. Casey is Arthur and Frieda's daughter. Casey studied Social Work at Florida State University and worked for a nonprofit after graduating. In 2010, she moved back to Tampa and started working with Griswold Home Care. She has been working here ever since, assisting in various capacities. Currently, she works part time with Griswold Home Care assisting with billing and long-term care insurance and supporting our team as needed.
When she is not working with Griswold, Casey is helping run a ministry called Just Initiative, which is a relational ministry creating pathways out of poverty for individuals and families in the Tampa area.
In her free time, Casey enjoys spending time with people, kayaking, watching Netflix, and baking.
When asked about her "Why", she responded:
"It's about the relationships for me. The work atmosphere is different here than anywhere else and others can see that. Even though I literally am working with family, everyone starts to feel like family-the other office staff, the clients we assist, the caregivers we refer, and the referral sources we interact with. It is a joy to get to know each of these people and to see how we can come alongside one another to make sure everyone is getting the care and attention they need.
In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Learn MoreJean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
