That is much broader to us than just pairing you up with a caring professional caregiver that meets your specific needs. It also involves being able to refer you to as many of the other resources you will need along your caregiving journey. Following are some resources we have compiled to assist you.

    • Making decisions for your loved one will require supporting documents in many cases. Check out the blog article for the 4 key ones all of us should have.

    • Attorneys focusing on your estate usually focus on post death. Elder Law Attorneys handle estate planning but also have additional training in both the key documents needed for loved ones to make decisions while you are alive and how to position your assets and income now in order to maximize your spendable income while you are alive.
  • The role of an Aging Life Care Professional (Geriatric Care Manager)
    • This person can help you create a care plan for your loved one and if you are not in a position to manage it, can also assist you in managing the care for your loved one.

    • Health Insurance does not typically pay for Home Care expenses.

    • Hospice is much more than the last few days of life. It is all about palliative care, making someone as comfortable as possible so they can get the most out of life while here.
