Meet Your Team
Jane Rabinovitz
Director
Hi, I am Jane Rabinovitz, owner of the Metrowest-Boston office of Griswold Home Care. We provide the best home care services for seniors and the disabled at the most economical rate. Our main goal is to ensure you the peace of mind to know that your loved ones are safe and well cared for in the comfort of their own homes.
I have devoted my professional and private life to helping people. I began my career as a certified speech and language therapist, visiting homes and facilities to work with the elderly and the disabled. I am happily married to the love of my life. We have 3 amazing children together, 6 grandchildren, and we work with people in our community—life is good.
When my father’s health began to decline, I watched my mother work hard as his primary caregiver. This took a real toll on her and our family. The brunt of the day-to-day care fell on my mother. No longer was it just 1 parent at risk—it was now 2. My brother and I, both out of state, were finally able to convince them to have in-home care. This in-home care made a significant improvement in my parents’ quality of life.
Returning home from visiting my parents, I realized the many positive effects of elder care services. Even though I was many miles away, there were people in place to watch over my parents and to keep them safe and cared for on a daily basis.
I realized that other families would benefit from this kind of intervention and began searching for similar services in Massachusetts. There were few in 1992, and finding Griswold Home Care was an accomplishment. Their philosophy and dedication to families who needed assistance was one that I admired. So, in May of 1992, I began servicing the Metrowest-Boston area with Griswold Home Care services.
We are committed to offering the best in-home care at the most reasonable rate possible. We want each person in our community to know that they have the opportunity to remain safe and well cared for in their own home.
We are proud to offer you and your loved one(s) exceptional and affordable, non-medical home care. Please call us with any questions. We look forward to working with you.
Dan Rabinovitz
Managing Director
Hi, I’m Dan Rabinovitz, managing director of the Metrowest-Boston and Worcester County offices of Griswold Home Care. I became interested in home care while watching my parents struggle to find peace of mind with the safety and well-being of my grandparents. Watching my grandparents lose their independence was eye-opening and difficult at times especially when there was a lack of resources to support the elderly and disabled age in the place they love, their home.
In 1992, my parents opened the Metrowest-Boston office to help ensure our local community had world-class home care services and resources available locally. They soon discovered the need for exceptional home care reached beyond the Metrowest-Boston area and, in 2001, they opened our second location in Worcester County.
I was born and raised in greater Boston. I lived out of state for close to 3 years pursuing a career in radio. I still remain connected with the radio industry but on a part-time basis. I’m also a huge fan of Boston sports. I currently reside in Metrowest with my wife and 2 children.
Joan Carew
Care Manager
Hi, I’m Joan Carew and my role at Griswold Home Care Metrowest-Boston is care manager. I have been working as a part of this team since May of 2019. Before coming to Griswold Home Care, I worked as certified nursing assistant (CNA) for 15 years. Before that I worked in both the corporate and non-profit worlds as a process improvement specialist, business analyst, trainer and reporting analyst.
In 2005 my mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Our family was introduced to the world of home care, palliative and hospice care. It was a journey none of us was prepared to undertake. The journey was arduous and painful at times but, it was also rewarding. I was so moved and impressed by the many professionals who helped care for my mom. I admired their dedication and kindness. I wanted to do what they were doing. I began to consider a career change. In 2008, I took the leap; got my CNA license and began my new career.
In my role as care manager, I get to help families looking for solutions for their loved one’s care needs. My professional and personal experiences allow me to support our clients and their families with great empathy and compassion. I also enjoy working with caregivers who are as passionate about caring for others as I am.
“To care for those who once cared for us is truly is one of life’s highest honors.” Tia Walker

Learn MoreJean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
