Meet Your Team
Lee & Michelle Jacobson
Director
Hello, I am Lee Jacobson, owner and operator of the Griswold Home Care office serving Northeastern Massachusetts and the Merrimack Valley. When my wife, Michelle and I moved to the area from Fairfax County, Virginia with our 2 children we instantly fell in love with the community and knew this would be “home” for years to come. Shortly after moving here, we joined the Griswold Home Care team so that we could enable seniors and adults with disabilities to receive the type of care and service that allows them to stay in their own homes.
To us, Griswold Home Care – Merrimack Valley is not just about providing quality home care. We believe it is our responsibility to help our clients understand all available options and show them that compassionate, thoughtful home care can make a meaningful difference in the quality of life of not only for the person requiring care but in the lives of their family members as well.
Together with my passionate staff, we are dedicated to making non-medical, in-home care available and affordable to you and your loved ones. Our rates are exceptionally competitive and are a practical substitute to the cost of care at a facility. We offer a wide range of schedules from hourly to full-time live-in home care. Additionally, our office collaborates with many skilled care and hospice agencies in order to present a complete service for home care and the Griswold CareAssure Screening System is one of the most thorough in the industry to guarantee you receive the best care possible.

In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
