Meet Your Team
Michael Falvo
Director
Hello, and thank you for your interest in Griswold Care Pairing of Hilton Head.
I opened this office in 2013 after spending thirty some years in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) business working in senior positions at Unilever, Dannon and Private Equity companies. I was fortunate to work on many household brand names and gained tremendous experience, but something was missing.
I can vividly remember my grandmother pleading with my parents not to be placed in a facility, yet my parents having no other options available to them at that time. Due to this enduring memory, I left my corporate position and opened a Griswold Care Pairing office in this area. Why Bluffton/Hilton Head….my parents retired here in 1993 and I decided that I will do whatever I can to ensure my parents can have the best quality of life, living in the home they love for the rest of their life.
It has been a welcome relief to my siblings that someone is near our parents, who can not only be there for them, but has access to experienced caregivers to assist them.
During this journey, I became a Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association. I wanted to give back to the community and share my first-hand experiences working with individuals and family members affected by Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
It makes my change of vocation and this journey worth it when my office shares with me the sense of peace, relief and appreciation that they hear from our client’s children.
I am the father of two wonderful girls and a very patient wife.
In my free time I enjoy family, golf, fishing and volunteering.

Referral Specialist
Hello, and thank you for your interest in Griswold Care Pairing.
I knew I wanted to help people as a teenager. My father had serious health issues at that time. I would say to my dad, “I can take care of you”. It was a calling that I felt. My father passed away in 2012, due to his illness. During the time I spent with my father and taking care of him, I knew I was destined to be a caregiver and work in the home care field.
I have always been close to my grandparents. I moved my grandfather into my home after he had a massive stroke in 2015. I nursed him back to health and knew that I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else in the world.
In 2017, I begin working at Griswold Care Pairing as a CNA. My supervisor would say, “I wish I could clone you; all the clients love your commitment and work ethic. It always made me feel warm inside taking care of the elderly. I believe I’m a natural caregiver, it’s part of who I am. My position at Griswold Care Pairing taught me so many things about healthcare and its resources.
Due to being a caregiver, I was present for many conversations that clients and family members would have in regard to previous home care companies they had used and all the problems they had.
I often heard about inexperienced caregivers and caregivers not showing up for their shift. It amazed me that someone would choose to be a caregiver and not show up for their shift.
I asked my supervisor if there ever was an opportunity in the office, where I could assist more seniors by ensuring that I would only refer experienced, and qualified caregivers. Two years later in 2019, I earned my spot to be a Referral Specialist in the Hilton Head office. I believed then this was the best job for me as I had a role in referring the most qualified caregiver for the clients.
While my responsibilities expanded, I had a life changing experience when my husband had a stroke in 2021.
As much as I loved working in the office, I had to provide for my family. The owner, Mr. Mike, made it possible for me to work from home. My work kept me smiling from day to day with emails or texts from clients on how they were so happy that I could refer the perfect caregiver for their loved ones. I enjoy my position. I enjoy all the people I meet and speak with. I’m glad to be a part of a company who will always be there to take care of the needs of seniors
I’m a wife and a mother of a beautiful boy. In my free time, I love to be with my family. I love to go fishing and eat seafood. Last, but not least, I love being in the home care field.
In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
