Just because a senior can no longer drive or an adult child works during the day doesn’t mean you are out of options.

Our caregivers are there to provide an opportunity for the senior or disabled to move around their community, participate in senior center activities, attend religious services, and go to Harford Mall or Tydings Park in Havre de Grace. A lot of seniors would like to be able to meet their friends for breakfast or an early dinner, and our caregivers can get them there.

We understand the importance of keeping elders from feeling isolated. Studies show that maintaining friendships is very beneficial emotionally and physically as we age. For those unable to get around or wish to remain at home, we can organize activities at home, such as movie night, reading books to them, or playing cards.

G.A.I.N. – Harford County’s Geriatric Assistance and Information Network, G.A.I.N brings together individuals, agencies, and businesses catering to seniors in the region. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, G.A.I.N hosts Monthly General Membership Meetings, facilitating networking and knowledge exchange through insightful speakers. Beyond fostering connections and education, G.A.I.N extends concrete benefits to seniors. Their yearly initiatives, including the Annual Harford County Caregivers Conference and fundraising events, have led to significant financial support for the Harford County Senior Emergency Fund, Family & Children Services, and Harford Community College.
