Brief History of Griswold Home Care

As one of the oldest non-medical home care franchise businesses in the country, we’re guided by our values and the belief that everyone deserves to age safely and comfortably at home for as long as possible. For most of us, our home is our sanctuary, and Griswold’s compassionate and professional home care enables the elderly, the disabled, and the sick to remain where they feel most at ease. Griswold Home Care was founded by Jean Griswold in 1982, and it was her intent to become an important resource people could trust. She accomplished exactly that in a very short time, and in 1984, franchised her opportunity so that people could combine passion with purpose to make a difference in communities everywhere.

We have embarked on our journey here in the Greater Temecula, Murrieta, and Menifee Areas. My grandmother got very sick, very quickly back around 2009. She was placed in a facility, and she ultimately passed there. I was not a decision-maker back then, but when this franchise opportunity presented itself to me, I thought back to that time and now realize there was an option for her to stay at home if she wanted to. Would that have changed anything? I am not sure. But what I do know, is that there are undoubtedly families out there that aren’t aware like we were. or these families are aware and want to stay at home. Now, I can help those families achieve their goals of remaining at home should that be their desire.

Because the elderly, the disabled, and the sick typically have many unique needs, we offer a wide variety of services to accommodate them. Our care plans are customized and can be adjusted as needs change over time. From personal care to light housekeeping to supporting hospice services and much more, we can be a valuable resource that people turn to in their time of need.
