I am Nolan Chandler, and I am privileged to be the Owner and Director of Griswold Home Care of Greater Temecula. I live in Temecula with my wife, Holly, and our daughter and son.
While growing up nearby in Riverside, California, I was raised to believe in service. Serving those in my community is thoroughly ingrained in my values. This led me to eventually join the United States Marine Corps as a judge advocate—an attorney in the Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps, I was introduced to Griswold Home Care. This organization especially stood out to me because my grandmother had to go to a facility some years ago because my family could not provide long-distance care. It would have been so different if she could have remained at her home to be comfortable and in a familiar environment.
I quickly realized that Griswold Home Care is an industry leader, and I made a career change because I wanted to help families like my own. My goal is to have families be around their loved one more often, and for an aging, or disabled loved one, to have the ability to lead a happy, meaningful, and more independent life.
In Your Community
We’re in This Together
At Griswold, we firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community. Here are some local resources that may be able to assist:
City of Temecula Mary Phillips Senior Center: This is a consolidated resource center for seniors in the Greater Temecula Area that offers senior activities, nutrition programs, and much, much more.
MilVet Senior Resources: MilVet is dedicated to assisting military members and veterans. On the general webpage, there is a separate Resources tab for seniors that lists a host of services for seniors in the area.
City of Murrieta Senior Center: City of Murrieta Senior Center offers several programs from exercise programs to craft classes.
City of Menifee Senior Resources: City of Menifee Senior Resources is another great, consolidated resource center for various services geared towards assisting our seniors in the area.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
