Scott Kaase
Director/Owner
In 2003, Scott and his wife Peggy opened their Griswold Home Care business because of their heart to help others. They started out in their home and over the past 17 years it has grown into the largest of Griswold’s nationwide offices. Today we have more than 600 Caregivers serving more than 350 Clients on a regular basis in the Cleveland area. Additionally, we serve Eastern Cuyahoga County with our Live-In Care services and our office in Columbus serves Northeast Franklin and Delaware Counties.
Scott describes the success of the business, “Our ability to find and hire compassionate Caregivers who are able to deliver our care with heart is what has enabled us to serve thousands of clients over the past 17 years. I love this business because we minister to the needs of the elderly and make it possible for them to continue to live in the place they love—that’s Griswold Home Care’s mission. It’s why we opened our office and what makes our work so rewarding.”
Scott and his team work tirelessly to continue the legacy of Jean Griswold, our founder. Griswold Home Care was based on Jean’s values. She saw the need in her community and acted. The delivery of compassionate care was her primary objective then as it is at Griswold Home Care today.
“We have an ever-growing Client community to take care of. We thank God for the success of our business and look forward to a bright future meeting the needs of our Clients”, says Scott.
In his free time, Scott loves spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoys boating, fishing, reading and traveling.
Adam Geiss
Regional Director
Our mission and mindset is to serve our clients by referring the highest quality professional Caregivers at an affordable cost. We are advocates for those we serve, but we are also advocates for the 600+ caregivers who provide our services. Our Golden Rule that ‘We will not refer a caregiver into your home that we would not welcome into our own home.' is true in every hire, and every placement we make. Our office is celebrating its 20th year serving the communities of Cleveland and Columbus while following the same core principles since the first day we opened our doors. We take a lot of pride in our old school approach to customer service. Pick up the phone and call us!
Today Adam leads a team of 11 Care Coordinators, 600+ Caregivers, with an office in Columbus, OH and Cleveland, OH.
Adam was born and raised on the West Side of Cleveland. He Graduated from The Ohio State University. He loves his work, his wife and 3 kids and their dog Olive—whom you can see if you visit us at the office! He also loves his Ohio State Buckeyes!
Debbie Farris, LNHA
Managing Director
After a successful 25-year career in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Debbie joined our Griswold leadership team to manage the Care Coordinator group and assist with set up of new clients with our agency. Debbie describes the favorite part of her job: “I love being able to help our Clients remain in their own homes safely as long as they possibly can. It is extremely fulfilling for me to know that our team can make such a positive difference to someone, especially during such a significant time in their lives.”
Debbie has personal experience with Griswold too. She and her husband had one of our Live-In Caregivers take care of her mother-in-law during the last two years of her life. Debbie says, “I haven't seen her that happy in many years! The individualized care and compassion our Caregiver showed her was genuine, heartfelt and made us all feel at ease knowing her needs were taken care of.”
When she’s not at Griswold or one of our Clients, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband and children; attending musical theatre and sporting events; and loves to cook and bake.

Especially since this is such a “personal field”, this is something I find very important. It's also very rewarding when I connect Clients with Caregivers who make a difference in each other's lives! I know I've done my job when I get feedback from my Clients telling me ‘they don't know what they would do without their Griswold Caregivers’! I love giving my clients peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in good hands."

In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
