Meet Your Team
Alice Chan
Owner
I am Alice Chan and the proud owner of Griswold Home Care for Cupertino along with my husband Wil. I have previously worked in the insurance industry. One of my mantras to clients is “Knowledge is Power,” so I make sure they have all the information they need to make well informed decisions. While in the insurance industry I developed a compassion to serve customers and community by providing time, attention, and caring support for their insurance needs.
After 36 years as a business owner, my husband and I started to look into the home care industry because of our own experiences while searching quality care for our elderly parents. We realized the struggles and challenges of finding exceptional care for a loved one. This led us to wanting to help others with this difficult process and give peace of mind that you and your loved ones can Live Assured.
Our goal will always be to provide quality care, so our care recipients have peace, joy, and dignity. We are confident that our combined years of entrepreneurship, compassion for care, our affinity to relationship development, problem solving techniques, and detail-oriented skills, we have built a successful and nurturing Home Care agency.
Wilfred Mabanta
Owner
I am Wilfred Mabanta and grateful to be the owner of Griswold Home Care for Cupertino along with my wife Alice. I've lived in the Bay Area for over twenty years while working in insurance. Because of being in a client-driven industry I developed a passion to serve customers within the community. I strove to provide protection & expertise regarding their insurance needs by providing extra time, attention, and support.
Although being in the insurance industry has been a great experience, I wanted to go in a different direction while still helping others. This led to joining the Griswold family. Along with my wife Alice, we are committed to providing the best level of care so you and your loved ones can Live Assured.
In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
