With the seasons changing and the weather starting to get a bit chillier, staying inside and being less active can be tempting. However, being physically active is vital for seniors and can help improve their health

Luckily, there are plenty of Fall activities for seniors throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties. We at Griswold Home Care for Bucks and Montgomery Counties want to recommend some of our favorite senior-friendly places during the late fall. Whether you want to go pumpkin picking with grandchildren or enjoy a relaxing hayride, these locations offer something for everyone.

Fall Festival Adventure Farm at Hellerick’s Family Farm

  • 5500 North Easton Road, Doylestown, PA 18902
  • Daily through December 1st
  • 18-acre farm with a variety of amenities including wagon rides, farm animals, pumpkin, gourde, and squash picking, sunflower field great for taking pictures, and fresh baked goods and cider.

Pumpkinland at Linvilla Orchards

  • 137 West Knowlton Rd, Media, PA 19063
  • Daily until November 3
  • Tons of activities to choose from – pumpkin picking, hayrides, apple blasters (shoot apples at targets!), train rides, apple cider doughnuts, caramel apples, beer garden, and farm animals.

Pumpkinfest at TileWorks

  • 130 E Swamp Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901
  • Weekend of October 26-27
  • Professional pumpkin carvers
  • Activities across the weekend also include live music, vendors, TileWorks tours, spooky surprises and beverages, and scarecrow stuffing.

Apple Festival at Peddler’s village

  • Routes 202 & 263
    Lahaska, Bucks County, PA, 18931
  • Free admission the weekend of November 2-3
  • Activities ranging from Bootlegger Bo’s gem mine, axe throwing, pie eating contest, live music and entertainment, variety of food trucks and vendors, and apple themed drinks and food.
