Sean Kelley
Director
Sean Kelley is the director and owner of the Pickens, Anderson, Oconee, and Laurens county Griswold Home Care Office. During his career in sales, project management and manufacturing, Sean always felt a call to the mission side of life. Traveling overseas and across the states prevented involvement in his local community. It became clear that a change in vocation to one where serving his community would answer the call and result in true fulfillment. Sean’s family also shares the passion for helping others in need, and had the opportunity to serve as caregivers for an elderly gentleman in their hometown. Experiencing the satisfaction felt when supporting others was key in the family’s decision to join a company with a strong mission component. After discovering Griswold Home Care, and observing firsthand the impact this type of elder care can make for those in need, Sean found a perfect fit of a rewarding career with a ministry priority. The 30-year-old Griswold mission and culture is a perfect blend that gives people the option to remain independent in the comfort of their own home with the help of a referred professional caregiver. Sean’s experience with building relationships of trust with customers translates well to building friendships with clients and their families, and referring caregivers to provide the services clients desire and the superior level of care and support for which Griswold referred Caregivers are known. Sean currently resides in the Clemson community with his three children. They are active in church activities, and volunteering. In their free time they enjoy reading, running, and various outdoor activities. Sean and the Griswold Home Care Referral Team are ready to make a difference in the lives of your loved ones.
In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
